The First Tee of Greater Sacramento positively impacts the lives of over 18,000 young people in the Sacramento area and 16,000 participate each year, free of charge. The program gets children outdoors and socially engaged with others in a fun, activity-based environment. Young people in the program do learn golf, but at The First Tee they teach way more than just a game. The First Tee of Greater Sacramento uses golf as a vehicle to teach core values, healthy habits and life skills that young people take with them to the classroom, college and their first job interview.
